If you all don’t already know, which I am sure you do if you RELIGIOUSLY stop by my blog, I am an ELLIPTICAL WH*RE! 101 minutes on the elliptical EVERY SINGLE DAY! Even if I am battling the BIRD FLU, have a broken foot or a tornado is swirling in my direction, you will always find me on the elliptical between the hours of 5 and 9 am.

When I was presented with the opportunity to work out with totally ripped Michelle Bridges, don’t mess with her pythons!, though, I gladly accepted because I KNOW that it’s VITAL and HEALTHY to change up your work out routine! Plus, Michelle is a weight-loss MAGICIAN, except not a magician at all, because really, losing weight and toning up is no magic trick!

Michelle actually started an online weight loss program called, 12 Week Body Transformation (12WBT) and has helped participants lose over 1.7 MILLION, yes, MILLION pounds since the program’s inception in 2010! I am still in shock over the number! She DEFINITELY won the weight loss LOTTERY!

I am so lacking in daily workout dedication, but I can use these workouts anywhere and I love that!! No excuse not to workout in my childhood bedroom with all of my trophies ha!

  6. I’m sweating just from watching that :) I’m not a fan of planks or any plank variation but I know they are good for me so I suffer through them when I have to.

    Belly flopping into fluffy clouds would do more than take my breath away, I’m pretty sure I would puke, in fact, it makes me nauseous just thinking about it!

  7. Push ups have always been my least favorite. Always!
    That said, I’d sit on Henry Ian Cusick’s back while he did them. He was on LOST and he makes me all swoony.
    And I’d much rather lift donuts over weights. However, I do a lot of arm exercises with my one-year-old. He loves to go flying too!

  8. Looks like a great workout. I feel kind of guilty since I was watching that video eating breakfast. :) My least favorite workout is weight. Can’t. Stand. It. But know it’s good for me. I set goals but not really resolutions. I I did have one this past year of not getting parking ticket anywhere in LA and so far, so good. Celebrities back? Maybe Hugh Jackman ala Wolverine because he seems like a pretty chill guy and could have a laugh about it. I’d ride the unicorn. :)

      I REALLY HOPE did you didn’t talk too soon about that parking ticket!!!! IT IS SO HARD NOT TO GET ONE IN LOS ANGELES! I have actually done pretty well myself, only 1 in the past 3 years of living here… LOL – YEP!   11. Are you kidding me? What kind of a question is that?!? Obviously I would be SO much cooler swan-diving off off a bridge with a full-on arms-wide belly flop into a vat of fluffy clouds!! I mean, like there was ever any question?!?

    Keep up my workout: I actually look forward to outdoor winter workouts! I run outside in shorts and a tee-shirt (most of the time) because by doing that it has a huge increased thermogenic requirement from your body, and it’s a GREAT way to encourage a higher BMR!
    Weights or doughnuts… Umm… Tough one… We are talking about the big-truck tires in a cross-fit gym, right? ‘Cause those are fun!

    • I have always secretly wanted to jump out of an airplane into the clouds – but only if the clouds would ACTUALLY CATCH ME! Ha! But since I know they won’t I will still in my seat, seatbelt securely fastened!

      I too LOVE working out IN THE COLD and just being cold in general! Burning that METABOLICALLY ACTIVE BROWN FAT BABY! lol!!!!!

      • Me too!! I have an eternal envy of Superman for that reason! All of the rest of his superpowers I can just chalk up to Comic-Book goo-gah; but being able to take a nap in the clouds? SO COOL!!

        Yeah, I broke through about 6 inches of ice on the lake at my family’s lake house over thanksgiving and took an ice bath (no joke – pictures were taken!). “Regular” cold just doesn’t have the same effect on me after taking a 60-second dip in a frozen-over pond! And, of course, it’s always GREAT to up the burn on the brown fat! :)
        BTW: I’m not ignoring your response from last week. I’m just not able to respond… Just thinking about it makes me go “Gagaa-gg-ga…”

    • It was actually great and she’s a VERY NICE woman! I highly recommend you check out her program if you’re intrigued! So many love it. What I find it to be cool, is that it’s an on-going thing, you need to keep up with the work outs, etc or you will fall behind, and she keeps you accountable! It’s nice to have a community too when you’re on the quest to lose weight and get healthy! :D

    I don’t have a least favorite workout, but I do have a least favorite machine to do a workout on now! Can you believe I got a short case of ITBS (Iliotibial band syndrome) from using an Elliptical trainer over my Thanksgiving Trip! I’ll be writing about that soon.

    Never got a high school trophy. All my trophies came later. :-)

    Working out for me is a habit. I just do it.

  15. Very nice, what a great coach you had for this Workout, I think she was real easy on you :) I don’t have a hated workout just one type of lifting exercise, OHS I hate them !!!! I workout 6 days per week so nothing really changes for me. No resolutions, why change perfection :) I will without hesitation dive into a pool of rice pudding, gluten free of course. Are you keeping up with your Burpee broad Jumps ??? As for a celebrity’s back to sit on, I’ll volunteer my back for them being a gentleman of course.
    Now blast some C&C Music factory ” Gonna Make you sweat” and pump out some more reps !!!

    And um, how do you still look so beautiful after working out. I definitely look like a hot mess.

    Also, that is just so fun that you got to workout with her.
    For me, it’s always been simple to keep my routine the same throughout the Winter. Basically I just want to workout so I stay warm since it’s so gosh darn cold out!

    • I typically look like THE HOTTEST MESS EVER after working out. Perhaps Michelle just brings out the “beauty”????? Ah ha ha! I am sticking to that theory!

      And even though it sucks when it’s cold outside, it’s kind of a great motivator to get going though right?! I mean, you said it: it keeps you nice and TOASTY!!

  22. That looks like a great workout! I’ll have to incorporate these moves into my short morning workouts. And how great that you got to work out with Michelle Bridges!

    I don’t change my workouts during the holidays but continue what I always do: short 20 minute workout when I get up every day, at least 10,000 daily steps, 2 yoga classes per week, and 2 strength workouts. That’s it. It works for me at this points. :)

    • You definitely should incorporate them, they’re amazing! They make you sore in places you never knew you could be sore in! lol. I love the 10k step plan!!! :) I used to get 10 – 20 k steps a day, but I have since ditched the pedometer because it sort of made me crazy – now I just go by exercise time (clearly… 101 minutes! LOL)

  23. Nice workout, I think your coach was to easy on you :) Well I don’t have any hated workout’s but one weight lifting exercise I will not do is an OHS, I’ve had many a debate over them. I will volunteer my back being the perfect gentleman that I am to my favorite actress’s, providing their counterparts are ok with it. ;)
    I workout 6 days a week, varied intensity levels of CrossFit and running. How are the Burpee’s doing GiGi ? and how about mountain climbers once in a while ? As for diving my choice is a pool filled with rice pudding, gluten free of course.

    • Ha! That work out was so hard. I actually took a work out class with Michelle the following weekend and it was NUTS!!!!! We went to a park and since we had far more space, OH MY…. I don’t even want to think about it, because it makes me exhausted! LOL! There were burpees involved… I hid behind a tree, LOL!!!!!!!! Mountain climbers are far easier for me than burpees!!! I just need to MIX UP my work outs more often – MORE CROSS FIT, less ELLIPTICAL!!

    • Yup. I a psychotic!! But I chock it up to the fact that I am from Wyoming and my family is known to go hiking every day for about 2 hours, and since I now live in Los Angeles… I don’t really have that much AMAZING hiking around me, so I go to the gym… and work out for as long as I would go hiking! HA!

  38. lol @ your facial expressions! Nice workout. I don’t think I’ve ever spent more than 10 minutes on an elliptical machine haha. My least favorite workout is long-distance running though. I know people go into zen mode but I just prefer HIIT like the moves in the video for time, effectiveness, and efficiency! I do sprints and hill sprints every now and then too.

  43. My least favorite workouts are definitely squats. I have a bad knee and they kill me. Those and suicides… I hate suicides. Too many years of running those day after day for soccer. I do still have my high school trophies, only they’re in my workout room. I took them with me… HAHA. :)

  49. Okay, so I totally hate swimming but I can surf like a boss, wierdo, I already know this. I’m OCD all the way so routines are pretty much the norm. I have no resolutions, I would sit on Norman Reedus back and probably drool, I’d rather lift weights and I have no trophies left…I’m pretty sure my Mom turned my room into a craft emporium within 2 hours of my moving out..I like the jumping off the tallest bridge idea and yes, i’ll be on Michelle’s team…Okay that was more like taking sat’s than leaving a comment.

  50. Uhh, that workout you did is up there with the kind I hate, because I have no strength! (I know, that’s exactly what it is supposed to help with, but I need to get strong enough to do the strength training).
    I’m staying put, so it will actually be easier for me to work out during the holidays–wake up, have breakfast, go work out…nice and leisurely!
    I would rather lift doughnuts, but I will lift weights.
    And finally, trophies from high school???? Hahahaha. Yeah. There were none.

  66. That is amazing that you can do 101 minutes of elliptical and still do your planned workouts on top of that. My most despised workout has got to be anything in the gym. haha.
