Hilarious post, as usual. Although out styles are completely different, your style and sense of humor is what makes you stand out and probably why you’re so successful. I guess I’d be considered a newbie in the blogging world, I started last July. A friend recently asked why I wasn’t contacting companies and asking them to send me free stuff to try and blog about. If I’m being honest, I didn’t even know that was a thing! I thought I was going to be rolling in the dough from the Amazon ads (I’ve made a whole $10.75 since I started, WOO) ! I decided to test this out by sending a “pitch letter” asking three different brands for a mandoline slicer to test out for an upcoming blog post. I was so excited when one of them responded a few hours later and said they’d be sending me one to test out! Especially since it was worth double what I’ve made since July with the Amazon ads. Are you laughing at me yet? There is definitely a lot to learn! Thank you for sharing some of your wisdom with the rest of us rookies. You ROCK, continue to be true to who you are!

YOU GO GIRL!!! I mean seriously, if the brand was appalled by you making jokes about your boobs or anything else, they obviously didn’t check out any of your videos & blog posts… their fault!! I’ve had a bit of experience in working with a few brands that wanted me to incorporate a product into a blog post, but I turned out not being a fan of their products at all… so I backed out. I’d rather do that and lose a bit of money than sell out as you said. I’m too honest for that BS! I think you can totally tell the influencers that will promote any and everything… I have a BS detector that is usually pretty spot-on! 😉

Hi GiGi! I LOVE this post! It’s so important to stay true to yourself and it’s awesome that you are doing that and sharing your experience with others. People are always saying that bloggers should do their research on brands but it’s a two-way street and brands should do their research too. What a friggin’ REWARDING BRAND EXPERIENCE!!! They aren’t all bad, but I just feel like these days there are SO MANY middlemen companies trying to make a quick buck off of our creativity thus the brand/personality/influencer relationship is completely LOST!
