Dyou know, I can’t get my head around avocado. No matter what I do with it, I just can’t get used to the texture. I really want to like it as it’s so healthy, but I can’t do it. Any tips Gigi??

U.K. schools don’t really do the valentines thing, because it was decided some kids may feel left if they weren’t given cards. Generally speaking Valentine’s Day is a bit scoffed at over here and labelled as a Hallmark holiday. Shops do sell stuff but 90% of it is available at half price the following day so it’s great for the bargain hunters. Half price chocolate is never a bad thing…….lol.

And HOW did that turkey/avocado dish turn out?! Did he wind up shaping it into a HEART? hahahaha! 😉 I certainly hope so, he would make me oh so very proud!
And I have to say, when I first started “dating” the technology was definitely not what it was… Text Messaging was FAXING – LOL!
I definitely don’t recall avocado colored rugs and fridges though, I think I see them more in stores now claiming to be “retro” and what not… But I don’t even really know what that word means (so not a fashion-forward person, ha!).
And Um, give your husband a HIGH FIVE!! Cause I mean, he sounds like the bomb! You picked a winner!

Guess what? You have a new fan – my husband. He was laughing and laughing at all your “valentines” and loved the video. So, I predate technology. So does he! In our day, telephones were for talking and if you took a picture, you sent the roll of film away in an envelope that came in the Sunday paper and waited a week (or two) for the developed film and your pictures to come back. Then, in the 70’s, we had an avocado colored frig and an avocado colored rug. Does anyone here remember those? And neither of us ever ate an avocado while growing up. So….having said all that, I love your recipe! We eat a lot of ground turkey. In fact, hubbie (the family cook) was making a dish with ground turkey and avocado tonight.

Haha the most I remember Valentine’s at school was my friend in like year 2 (so about 6 or 7) getting a card from her “boyfriend” and being like the only one in the class haha!
