I am the worst photographer and when it comes to food pics welp, that’s why I don’t feature many of the delicious recipes on my blog because the pics suck. I own it. I can cook but I’m definitely not a photographer

These are hilarious! Having worked with food bloggers and knowing how hard food photography can be, I try to be understanding when I find a recipe that doesn’t have the best photos but the recipe sounds good.

OMG YOU WOULD SCRAP A RECIPE if your photo turned out badly?! I would just be transparent about it in your blogpost stating that it doesn’t LOOK edible but it IS and DELICIOUS as well!!!! And I am so with you though when it comes to the $$$$$ I use my ipHONE! My husband is like, DO YOU EVER CARE – but then I show him my portrait mode photo and he’s like OHHHHH – NOT BAD! lol!

I low-key hate food photography. The number of times I have had to scrap a post because the photo’s make the food look inedible. The standards are so high these days, food photography is like social media if it’s not beautiful people just ignore it and pretends it didn’t exist. Harsh! The whole first year on my blog is awful, the second and third years are passable and the rest is getting better but I will never be that person with perfect pictures. It costs too much to get all the perfect lenses and kit, I don’t have that kind of money for a hobby. But I make do and I keep it fun. But yeah, food photography is a bitch…lol
