Yo CHICK! You’re quite THE PEA…
Okay so yeah. TERRIBLE PICKUP LINE… I feel like one of THOSE dudes, let’s name him Joe, (gents… Do ladies spew out pick-up lines like this?) hiding in your REQUESTS SECTION in your Direct Messages on Instagram…
But please HEAR ME OUT…
Yep… Still feeling like Joe on Instagram… Especially because NOW I sound like I am begging.
Obviously, you know I am TRYING to pick you up… And yes my attempt at being “clever” was most likely NOT well-received but…
Please let me continue to TRY and get… Your PULSES races.
My goodness, if someone hit on me this hard, I would throw myself at them in a heartbeat… So since you’re all like me… HA… I plan on PEAS-ING you with a very special recipe I devised.
Now I won’t lie (and I never would to all of you)… This recipe might have you further scratching your head… So I will quit it with the ridiculous “come-ons”… HOWEVER, I have a slight suspicion that the recipe truly will win you over (are you thankful I didn’t say “ap-PEA-se you”?) because… It’s not of the norm, and honestly, the norm is just… Well… Way too NORMAL these days… And who wants that?
That being said… Who doesn’t love pizza?
Ohhh… So NOW my tactics for grabbing your attention are beginning to work, huh? Even just the thought of pizza always seems to have a way of making everyone immediately drool.
Well, this pizza I am about to present to you… Is a little bit different than what you might expect because as I told you… This recipe ain’t your average Joe… Despite the horrendous pick-up lines spewed out earlier.
Nope, let’s call this pizza… I don’t know… Armando (for those of you who like a foreigner)… For the name is quite alluring despite its peculiar features (just like this recipe).
One alluring feature in particular… Its crust is made of Chickapea Pasta! That’s right! I GROUND DOWN actual pasta made from chickpeas and lentils, into a flour… And made a CRUST out of it.
And WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT… I do believe I have officially GROUND ALL OF YOU DOWN ENOUGH to convince you to check out below’s recipe video featuring my unique inclusion of Chickapea Pasta… Visit this site to know how can dogs eat chickpeas.
Gluten-Free & Vegetarian Chickapea Pasta Pizza
- 1 1/2 Cup Chickapea Pasta
- 1/4 Cup Tapioca Flour
- 1/4 Cup Coconut Flour
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 Tsp Pepper
- 1 Tbsp Basil
- 1 Tsp Garlic
- 1 Tsp Onion Powder
- Salt, to taste
- 1/4 Cup Water
- Any Toppings Your Heart Desires!
- 1/4 Cup Cooked Chickapea Pasta
WHAT YOU KNEAD TO KNOW…
- In a blender add uncooked Chickapea Pasta and grind until it forms a powder which could take 5 – 6 minutes depending on the power of your blender.
- Then add the coconut flour and the tapioca flour and blend those ingredients together.
- Throw in the two eggs (of course crack them out of their shell first) and blend again.
- Add all seasonings and blend.
- Finally, add the water and oh what do you know, blend one more time.
- Grab a skillet and warm it over medium-high heat on your stove. Spray with non-stick spray.
- Pour your crust batter onto the skillet and shape it round like a pizza (or really, shape it however you’d like!).
- Cook pizza batter roughly 3 – 4 on each side and transfer to a broiling pan.
- Now it’s time to top your pizza, feel free to top it with whatever you’d like, I personally went the Mediterranean approach with grilled veggies and of course, the most important topping is… COOKED CHICKAPEA PASTA!
- Pour a little olive oil over the top of your pizza if you’re feeling frisky…
- And to further crisp it up… Throw it in the broiler for roughly 5 – 6 minutes.
- And then… Pull it out, let it cool down and… CHOW DOWN!
