Want a slice of… Salmon Pie?
Here’s What You Need To Make Salmon Pie:
For The Crust:
- 3 Bags of Williwaw Salmon Cracklet
- 2 Eggs
- 1/4 Tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 Tbsp Italian Seasoning
- 1/4 Tsp Celery Salt
For The Pie Filling:
- 7 Ounces of Salmon (Farm-Raised and/or Wild Caught)
- 1 Tbsp Avocado Oil
- 1/4 Tsp Garlic
- 1/2 Tsp Paprika
- 1/2 Tsp Celery Salt
- 1/2 Tbsp Italian Seasoning
- 1/4 Tsp Onion Powder
- 2 Egglife Wraps, optional
How To Make This Recipe:
- In a food processor, “shred” the salmon cracklet. Once pureed, add the salmon skin to a bowl and add the eggs, baking soda, Italian seasoning, and celery salt. Mix everything together and then spray a pie pan with non-stick spray and press the crust mixture into a pie pan.
- Bake the pie crust for about 10 minutes.
- As the crust bakes, combine the salmon, garlic, oil, paprika, celery salt, Italian seasoning, and onion powder in a blender and puree until smooth.
- When the crust is done baking, spread the pie filling over the crust.
- Cut the Egglife wraps into strips and then arrange how you wish, I made it a criss-cross pattern (this is more for decoration than anything else so this is not a mandatory step).
- Bake the pie in the oven for about 10 more minutes.
- When done, remove from the oven and feel free to drizzle with more oil if you wish or eat as is!
