Despite not necessarily living in the same city, state or even country, we all tend to share one very good friend.

This friend is loyal, supportive, trustworthy and best of all, knows how to bring up our spirits when we feel as if a garbage truck filled with dirty diapers took a dump on our moods.

This friend… Alcohol.

While I myself do not personally drink, I have been known to have heart-to-heart conversations with bottles of alcohol.

We’re actually just formally introducing ourselves! I’ve never met Skinny Girl Cocktails before so it’s only polite of me to get to know them! Apparently this line of low-calorie, alcoholic beverages’ mother is Bethenny Frankel… You know, from The Apprentice and The Real Housewives?!

After dishing about how outlandishly kooky James Franco is, how it feels to be judged by your grape and what it would be like to frolic through a field filled with marshmallow fluff and rainbow sprinkles, I (with the help of the lovely Food Pervert, but of course) came up with the brilliant idea of throwing a WINE PARTY so Skinny Girl Cocktails could meet others…

Is drool dribbling down your chin? Well, wipe it off ASAP – because that’s GROSS and not exactly wine party classy… (Wait, who am I kidding…) And then check out the recipes for the scrumptious apps that’ll kick you in the pants from the flavor! (You may want to wear a cup gentlemen, just sayin’)

Salmon Ceviche

• 1/2 Lbs Salmon
• 1/2 Tbs Capers
• 1/4 Small Red Onion
• 1 Tbs Chives
• 1 Tbs Basil
• 1 Tsp Dijon Mustard
• 1/2 Tsp Olive Oil
• 1/2 Small Lemon
• Salt & Pepper

Directions: Literally just mix all of the above together, and WAAA-BAM, you’ve got yourself a delicious pairing! I enjoyed this fish dish on cucumber rounds!

Apple Crostini

• 1 Whole Apple (any variety)
• Blue Cheese
• Almonds
• Honey

Directions: Slice apples, place goat cheese on top and then an almond. Heat in the oven at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes. Drizzle with honey.
