ONE OF my best friends on the face of this earth (I have a few on Mars too?) is Yelp.
He is always full of such great ideas… Whether I want to go paragliding offĀ Rendezvous MountainĀ in Jackson Hole, Wyoming (home!), deep sea fishing in Phuket, Thailand, mountainĀ biking onĀ Arenal Volcano in Costa Rica, or go to a strip club on the Sunset Strip, play laser tag in “The Valley”, shoot ourĀ AR 15 at Angeles Shooting Range…
Or… If I just want to be low key and pole dance with a shawarma spit… Or roll up some good times with one of my other besties, salmon skin…
Yelp is definitely not the type to ever say “I don’t know, what do you want to do?”
While Yelp and I have loads of adventures together…
I mean, he even joined my husband and IĀ on our honeymoons…
What he and I like to do the most together is… EAT.
Shit. Let’s be real. What I generally like to do with everyone is eat.
Another great thing about Yelp is that he is not of the jealous type… In fact, he makes friends with all of my friends I include in my adventures…
And the other day he told me a secret about one of them that he had met recently (that he feels he had met in the past but couldn’t remember)…
Apparently, I suck at keeping secrets because I am about to tell all of you.
Yelp has a huge crush on my friend Sarah… And honestly, I don’t blame him.
Sarah is an insanely intelligent, eloquent, blond bombshell who holds “the keys” to planning epic adventures and unforgettable, food coma-inducing dining experiences, just like Yelp… Or in other words, she is an insanely prestigious conciergeĀ and travel blogger (you may recognize her from this video).
When Yelp disclosed his admiration for her, he also told me that he wanted to impress Sarah, but with all the accolade she has received in the past, he wanted to stand out in an outside of the box manner so he asked me if I would take her to a restaurant she would have never thought about going to herself.
A cafe deep in “the valley” (not near the laser tag joint though) that serves up a very niche cuisine.
Funnily enough, I had wanted to try this restaurant that serves GiGi-approved meals for a long time… So of course, I agreed… And the entire experience was filmed by our friend Jorge Lopez (Yelp enlisted his help too).
To see if Yelp won Sarah over…Ā Take a bite of the latest video!
So Tell Me…
- What was the last specialty/niche restaurant you went to? Did you like it?
- What would you have ordered at The Primal Cafe?
- Have you ever used the advice of a concierge?
- Is Yelp yours and my mutual friend? If so, what do you two like to do together the most?
- What do you think is the craziest thing you’ve ever done in your life?
- Are you going to go follow Sarah on YouTube and on Instagram?
PS: This post was NOT sponsored by Yelp. I just friggin’ love Yelping – and I am proud of my Yelp Elite title. HAHAHAHAHA!
